Children

We welcome children here at Corcreggan Mill and it’s the perfect place for little adventurers to explore.

However, as parents of young children ourselves, we are acutely aware of the dangers posed by the very things that make this site so interesting (the river, old buildings, pathways etc.) and for that reason, we don’t recommend Corcreggan Mill for children under 6 years old.

Some other things to note in relation to children:

  • Children under 3 stay free of charge in Millhouse Lodge where no extra bed is required.

  • Cots are available in on request in (Millhouse Lodge only)

  • We do not recommend our Bell Tent accommodation for children aged 6 years or less due to potential for stormy weather, bright mornings and the risks posed by uneven floor in the tent.

  • Children must be supervised at all times.

We also don’t provide any on-site activities or play areas for young children so if this is important to you, we highly recommend our friends over at Wild Atlantic Camp in Creeslough where you will find various accommodation options, dedicated play areas and sports activities on-site.

THE TRAWLEr - PLEASE READ!

In addition to asking you to ensure that children are supervised at all times, we would especially ask that you ensure your children do not enter the area of the old Trawler, which is located beside the Motorhome Park. This is private guest accommodation.

We know from experience that children (and sometimes adults!) like to walk around the Trawler looking in, and even climb up on to it's deck, not realising that there are guests inside. We therefore ask that all guests keep a distance of at least 4 meters from the Trawler as failure to do so may result in a disturbance fine of up to €500 being charged to the master booking which will be used to compensate our Trawler guests for any disturbance caused during their stay.
