Corcreggan Mill is a unique dry-hire wedding venue on the north-west coast of Donegal, offering couples exclusive weekend hire, on-site accommodation for up to 75 guests, and complete freedom to design their celebration.
There are no packages or fixed formats. Instead, couples have a blank canvas to make their own.
Over the years, we’ve seen celebrations of every kind here: relaxed outdoor gatherings, intimate ceremonies, weekend-long parties, elegant dinners and the occasional céilí that happily ran into the night.
Each one has reflected the uniqueness of the couple at the heart of it.
Our historic buildings and peaceful outdoor spaces are a beautiful backdrop for humanist or spiritual ceremonies, drinks in the garden, dinners under the sky or lawn games that get delightfully competitive.

Your hire
What does “dry hire” mean?
You get full private use of the venue, grounds and accommodation for your stay. You choose your own caterers, bar team and suppliers, giving you complete freedom to design your weekend.
What’s included in the hire?
Exclusive access to all guest areas, accommodation, grounds, and the motorhome park. Linens and towels are provided, and you’re welcome to use the grounds for photos. Bell tents can be added in summer.
How long do we have the venue?
Hire durations vary by season and whether it’s midweek, weekend or a bank holiday. Minimum stays apply on bank holiday weekends. Your arrival and departure times are confirmed at booking.
Do we have exclusive use of the whole site?
Yes. Other than a discreet on-site team member (and resident seasonal staff in summer for safety and operations), the property is entirely yours for the duration of your hire.
What are check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 3:00pm and check-out is by 12 Noon on teh day of departure.
How much does exclusive hire cost?
Exclusive weekend hire typically ranges from €4,350 to €12,500 depending on season and length of stay. For full details and availability, please get in touch.
Capacity & Accommodation
How many guests can stay on site?
Up to 58 guests across the Lodge, Apartments, Railway Carriages and Boat (Apr–Oct). Additional motorhome/campervan bays are available, and bell tents can be added in summer, which brings the total capacity to 75.
How many people can we host for the wedding?
For events, the on-site capacity is up to 120 guests.
Is accommodation included in the hire price?
Yes. All accommodation listed in the hire package is included and exclusively yours.
Can guests pay for their own rooms?
Yes. We can manage guest accommodation payments and allocations on your behalf if needed (additional fee applies)
Ceremonies & Celebrations
Can we hold our ceremony on site?
Yes, you can have a ceremony indoor or outdoor (fees ay apply)
Is there an extra fee for a ceremony?
A ceremony/concert fee applies only if you are planning to use of the Loft Room. the fee includes special seating for up to 75 guests.
Can we have outdoor elements (drinks, dining, speeches)?
Absolutely. Many couples use the grounds for drinks receptions, outdoor feasts and low-key gatherings, weather permitting. The site is yours to do with as you wish :)
How late can music run?
Amplified music must finish by 2:00am. Fireworks, pyrotechnics and smoke machines require prior written approval.
Can we use the outdoor kitchen or street-food bar?
Yes, the self-contained unit is available to hire and can be used by you or your caterers (fees apply)
Suppliers & Setup
Do you provide catering or bar service?
No. You bring your own suppliers, giving you full flexibility.
Do our suppliers need insurance?
Yes. All third-party suppliers must provide valid public liability insurance at least 30 days before the event.
When can suppliers access the site?
Deliveries, setup and collections must take place within the agreed access hours. All suppliers must check in with the Corcreggan representative on site.
Can we decorate the venue?
Yes. You’re free to style the spaces as long as nothing is fixed or causes damage. All décor must be removed and the property restored to its original condition, before departure.
What is the payment schedule?
25% deposit to secure your date
25% due 12 weeks before the event
Remaining balance due 4 weeks before arrival
(We can be flexible if guest accommodation payments are being used to fund the hire.)
Is a damage deposit required?
Yes. A pre-authorised €1,500 damage deposit is taken with your final balance.
What happens if we need to cancel?
More than 12 weeks out: deposit forfeited
12–4 weeks: 50% of total cost forfeited
Within 4 weeks: full hire cost forfeited
We strongly recommend all couples have event insurance.
Practicalities & House Rules
Do you allow pets?
Yes, in certain areas and with prior approval.
Do we need to clean up after the event?
Yes. The venue and grounds must be left as you found them. Failure to remove décor, waste, bottles, or supplier items results in a cleaning surcharge.
How do guests who are not staying on site, get home at night?
Taxis are available until 2:00am but must be pre-booked.
