We are incredibly lucky to have 2 great woodfired Finnish saunas in the local area.
Cocoon Sauna (Portnablath Pier)
Cocoon Saunas are barrel shaped saunas with an incredible view out over Sheephaven Bay and Horn Head. It is located on the pier where one can immerse themselves in some cold water therapy and then return to the warmth of the cocoon.

ItSaunaTrailer (Marble Hill)
itSaunatrailer is a handcrafted wood-burning sauna located on the beautiful ‘wee beach’ at Marble Hill strand. Run by Shane & Sky, it’s a gorgeous place to take in the view whilst going between the beach and the sauna. We love it there!

Donegal Music Trails
Donegal Music Trails immerses you in the Authentic Experience of Traditional Donegal, taking in all the breath-taking sights and hidden gems, sample local delicacies, while learning all about local music song and dance.

Dunlewy Activity Centre
Take a step back in time and visit the homestead of the world renowned weaver Manus Ferry and enjoy stories of times gone by from our experienced tour guides or take a trip out on the Dunlewey Lough on our tour of the lake where you will pass the Guinness estate (keep an eye out for the green lady who is said the haunt the house)
If you prefer to stay on dry land you can take a ride on the train and for those who have plenty of energy to burn off there is an adventure play area full of swings, slides, climbing frames, zip-wires, rodeo bull, climbing walls, pedelos, kayaks, zorb-balls and bouncy castles.
Errigal View Pet Zoo & Activity Centre
Errigal View Pet Zoo is a new attraction for families to enjoy a great day out. With animals, birds and much more there is lots to do and see.
Situated behind An Chúirt Hotel in Gweedore a visit here is a must. You can stroll amongst the animals or take a nice walk along the old railway track, the choice is yours.
Both educational and fun you can see many unusual animals close up and even feed a few. Then as the children play in the adventure playground, enjoy a cup of coffee and a snack or try your hand at pitch and putt.
