Railway Carriages

The beautiful 150-year-old mahogany railway carriage was restored and rebuilt back in the late 1990s and now sleeps up to 16 people in its 5 sleeping cabins: two with double beds and three with two twin-bed bunks in each.
All our cabins are pet-friendly (charges apply), and all bed linen is included. Guests must bring their own towels.
The Railway Lounge adjacent to the Carriage also has a self-catering kitchen, dining, and an open-fire sitting room. There is a wash hand basin in each sleeping compartment, and communal toilets and showers at either end of the Carriage.
Continental Breakfast can also be added to your rate (subject to availability).
“Such a beautiful spot. It’s lovely and scenic. Our 4-year-old loves trains, so he absolutely loved his stay, and he was extremely excited about the bunk beds, too. The cabins were lovely and cosy, with utilities very close by. We brought our lab retriever, and there was more than enough room for all of us. Will definitely be back. ”
A few things to know …
FACILITIES
Guests of the carriage have the use of communal shower/toilet facilitie and many of these communal facilities are located within old characterful buildings that will have their quirks and imperfections. So if quirkiness and character are your thing, we think you will love your stay here at Corcreggan Mill.
However, if you are looking for more modern facilities, then we would recommend checking in with our friends at Sleepy Hollows Campsite (Adults only) or Wild Atlantic Camp, Creeslough where you will find some fantastic accommodation, camping and activity options.
QUIET TIME
Guests of Corcreggan enjoy the peace and tranquility which the site provides, so to preserve this sense of peacefulness, we operate a strict 10.30 pm quiet time across the site.
Group BOOKINGS During THE SUMMEr
We do not accept groups of 8+ guests / 4+ units or more guests during July & August, unless by special arrangement.
The property is, however, available for exclusive hire year-round, so if you are keen to put together a group getaway, please contact our reservations team, as we have a variety of options available.
LOW SEASON BOOKINGS (01 OCTOBER - 01 APRIL)
Between 1 October and 1 April each year, our railway carriages operate on a Self Check-In basis (similar to Air BnB) and full pre-payment is required.
If booking accommodation during this time, please be aware that the main house and all Food and Beverage offerings will be closed during your stay and staff presence on the site will be minimal.
You will receive an email in advance of your arrival with all the check-in information you will need.
GROUP / PRIVATE Hire
The Railway Carriage, which sleeps up to 16 people, is also available for Exclusive Group Hire from 01 October to 01 June each year. Please email us to inquire or to check availability.
