Corcreggan Mill Hostel / B&B Accommodation and Campsite offers unique Hostel, Bed and Breakfast and Camping Accommodation near Dunfanaghy, Falcarragh and Tory Island in County Donegal, Ireland.

At Corcreggan Mill we offer:

Hostel Accommodation - A budget self catering option for visitors, quality rooms (most are ensuite!)

Bed and Breakfast - All rooms are ensuite with continental or hot cooked breakfast.

Campsite - Camping is available on the front lawn of the cottage, situated close to the Mill stream and has kitchen facilities available.

Corcreggan is renowned for its tranquillity, its warm hospitality (and we don't just mean the turf and log fires), its comfortable handmade wooden beds, our recycling policy, organic garden, and meditation sanctuaries, the sound of the Mill stream by day and the crashing of waves on Tramore beach by night. We have no TVs or Radios here for entertainment. We do not need them!

The unique atmosphere and comfort of our budget accommodation offers the full range from the luxury of the spacious and private ensuite accommodation on the ground floor of the Mill House, to dormitory and double rooms on the first floor . We also have camping facilities by the Mill Stream, on the lawn in front of the Cottage.

Corcreggan Mill is set in a natural hollow alongside the N.56, beside the shore of New Lake. It is situated 3km southwest of the village of Dunfanaghy, on the coast road to Falcarragh, in the north-west of Donegal, and it overlooks the Atlantic Ocean and Tory Island. If homing in on GPS we are at 55* 10.03 North, 008* 00.22 West.

The property is set in what was once an important pre-Celtic site and is said to be the energy centre for the whole northwest of Ireland. It has 175, recorded, archaeological sites within an 8km radius. There are also 7 golden sandy beaches, a forest park with nature trails, the 200 metre Horn Head sea-cliffs, and historic Doe Castle, all within the same radius, (not to mention the many traditional music pubs and quality restaurants).

If you are on a schedule rather than a holiday, the one "Must See" is Tramore Beach, (2 km of golden sand with wild Atlantic rollers, and hardly anyone to be seen). You only have to walk for 25 minutes, on a grassy path across the dunes, to get there, passing a sous-terrain on the way, (... and, there are no roads, no cars, and no houses to be seen). The beach is overlooked by an ancient stone circle. Nearby is the dramatic blow-hole known as "Mc Swynes Gun" and the "Little Pistols" sea-arches.

Corcreggan is an ideal venue for workshops, retreats and outdoor activities, which tend to take place off-season when there are fewer tourists and the lake is full of migratory geese, duck and swans. This quieter time of year is also favoured by birdwatchers, writers, artists and photographers.

Corcreggan Mill is the perfect place ..............for work, rest and play!
